LIVING HISTORY
ABOUT LIVING HISTORY
The Living History Group is an organization that supports the New Mexico Military Museum (NMMM) through public awareness, outreach, and living history events.
Group members provide their own equipment, uniforms, and weapons in the pursuit of accurately portraying the lives of soldiers during multiple periods of history. The members receive no compensation from the museum for these activities.
The Living History Group of the NMMM is a non-political and gender-inclusive organization that does not tolerate any extremist, racist, or sexist views. Female-identifying members who fall into our formation are welcome to portray any impression that they so choose, including combat roles. The Living History Group welcomes all combat, support, and civilian impressions. However, political impressions are strictly forbidden (e.g. Civil War Copperheads, Spanish Falangist, Italian Blackshirts, German Blackshirts, etc.).
